The  Vigilance wing of Bangalore Electricity Supply Company raided “Shiva Rice Mill” at Anjaneyanagar, Davanagere on August 16 belonging to one Ratnamma and slapped a fine of Rs 8.39 lakhs for unauthorisedly using 66 HP power supply. On the same day, the Vigilance Wing of Chitradurga raided a poultry farm belonging to Tumaram Reddy of Kuradehalli in Challakere taluk and slapped a fine of Rs 43,771 for directly hooking and using 5 kw of power supply.
The same team conducted raid on another poultry farm belonging to H Rajappa of Guddanahalli in Challakere taluk and slapped a fine of Rs 58,428 for directly hooking and using 7 kw of power to his farm.
