Talks on Kabini II Stage project soon, says DyCM
Dasanur (Nanjanagud), dhns:
Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa assured that he will soon hold discussions with the officials concerned with regard to implementation of the Kabini Second Stage project.

Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa assured that he will soon hold  discussions with the officials concerned with regard to implementation of the Kabini Second Stage project.
He was speaking to reporters after receiving a felicitation by his fans’ club here on Thursday. He also claimed that he will make honest efforts to find a solution to the problems in implementation of the project.
This gives the people of the region something to cheer about as the project if implemented will irrigate thousands of acres in several villages of Chamarajanagar and Nanjanagud taluks. Meanwhile, Yediyurappa not only assured to sanction a veterinary hospital to the village, but also announced Rs five lakh for development of Male Mahadeshwara temple in the village.
Though banning of arrack had caused a burden of a whopping Rs 1,900 crore to the State exchequer, the move has brought peace to scores of poor families especially in the rural region, the DCM stated.
He appealed to people to make a vow to provide proper education for their children noting that it only can lead them towards prosperity.
Pointing out that the government has chalked out several programmes, the DCM noted that it was possible for them as they could plug the leakage of the State resources. “Just think how we could do it in just 18 months and others couldn’t for several years and into whose pocket the money went”, he said.
He was quick to add that both the Reserve Bank of India and Planning Commission have given a pat on the back rating Karnataka on top for best management of money matters in the country, he quipped. He claimed that he will make their opponents feel that himself and Kumaraswamy should have continued in administration even after their term.
