Hockey tourney
‘Andolana Cup,’ a hockey tournament is being organised by the Mysore varsity as part of the National Sports Day.The tourney will be held for primary and high schools and colleges.DC Selvakumar will be inaugurating the meet on August 25 at 10 am at the University Hockey grounds. It will be held till August 29.
Launched
LIC India has launched two new plans, LIC Fortune Plus and LIC Profit Plus. The former is an assurance plan where the premium payment term is five years. People in the age group of 12-60 years may make use of the plan.
    The later is a Endowment plan. Premium can be paid in a single installment or it could be uniformly spread over 3,4 or 5 years.
Vending machine
The State Bank of Mysore has installed an Automated Stamp Paper Vending Machine at its Treasury Branch on Irwin Road. Customers may themselves take stamp papers by keying in some information. For details call 9343361688.
