Paddy cultivation in Kushalnagar is in full swing and 80 per cent has been completed in Harangi catchment region.
The paddy cultivation will be completed by this month end. Delay in the onset of monsoon, has delayed the paddy cultivation by 10 to 12 days.
There was a set back in the agricultural activities following heavy rainfall in the first week of August.
Sources in agriculture department informed that the farmers are using high yielding variety seeds like IR 64, Intan, IR 30864, MTU 1001, Jyothi, Sonali, KRH 2, loknath along with the local varieties like Rajamudi, BKB.
