BSNL has withdrawn its arrangement for payment of telephone bills at Karur Vysya Bank counters from September 1. However, the existing electronic clearance system facility will continue.
Konkani music fest
The Konkani music festival scheduled for August 26 will be held at Guru Nanak Bhavan and not in Town Hall as mentioned in these columns on Friday. The music festival, scheduled to commence at 5 pm, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
CPWD wins award
The CPWD, Bangalore won the ACCE L&T Endowment Award 2007 for excellence in construction of industrial structures. CPWD won the award for construction of exhibition complex at ITPL, Whitefield.
Literary competition
The All Kannada Fans’ International  Forum  is organising ‘E-Kavi’ as part of Suvarna Karnataka celebrations on September 29 at Jnanajyothi auditorium.
