Evening of folk music
Karnataka has a rich tradition of folk songs and sugama sangeeth, which was started and carried on by legendary singers such as P Kalinga Rao, Balappa Hukkeri, Kareem Khan, Mysore Ananthaswamy and others. Zee Kannanda pays tribute to these legends through “Bhaava Poornima”, a programme in memory of C Aswath, being organised on Sunday, August 25 at 6.30 pm at Good Shepherd.
The evening will have all-time popular songs including “Kodigana Kolli Nungintha”, “Sravana Banthu”, “Gama Gama Adithu Mallige” and more, sung by Puttur Narasimha Nayak, B V Radhakrishna, Yeshwanth Halebandi, Ganesh Desai, Ravi Moruru, Mallanna, Sunitha, Vasanth and others.
