Medium-pacer C Ganapathy took five for 23 and off-spinner R Ashwin chipped in with three for 24 as hosts Tamil Nadu sent Karnataka packing for 115  in the Buchi Babu memorial cricket tournament here on Friday.
While Karnataka failed to capitalise on skipper C Raghu winning the toss, Tamil Nadu cashed in on their bowlers’ excellent display by reaching 112 for five in 43 overs at the close of day one of the three-day tie.
For Karnataka, Manish Pandey made 56.
