Association of Mangalore University College Teachers (AMUCT) organised a dharna, opposing the dismissal of two lecturers, namely, Prof Emmanuel Lalith Kumar of SMS College, Brahmavar and Shakunthala of Narayana Guru College, in front of Joint Directorate of Collegiate Education on Saturday.

FUCTAK State President Prof A M Narahari said Mangalore University and Joint Director of Collegiate Education should intervene in this regard,

He said Prof Emmanuel Lalith Kumar was teaching for more than 25 years and was dismissed without any reason. Inhuman treatment has been meted out to Ms Shankunthala, even after she was reinstated by the Supreme Court, he added.
