Schoolchildren alleged that Zilla Panchayat members were responsible for stoppage of mid day meal facility.
As part of their protest, they staged a rasta roko and stoned the bus here on Saturday. According to sources Zilla Panchayat Member H Hanumantappa had alleged that MLA S N Krishnaiah Shetty is not providing mid-day meal on time.
Instead of providing the food at 1pm, the food is provided at 11am.
Moreover, he is providing mid-day meal to school children from the government fund and not from his trust as he claims.
It is learnt that dejected MLA stopped providing mid-day meal to the children for this reason. Schoolchildren staged a protest raising slogans against Zilla Panchayat members.
Zilla Panchayat members were held responsible for stoppage of mid-day meal. They even staged a rasta roko for more than 2 hours as part of their protest and stoned the bus.
