A 32-year-old man tried to commit suicide by consuming poison in Bharatinagar police limits on Sunday afternoon. Syed Mustafa, has been kept in ICU in a private hospital in KG Halli.
According to sources, when Bharatinagar police went to his house to question him about a chain snatching case, he tried to flee. When the police were about to surround him, he consumed poison and complained of chest pain. He was immediately rushed to Bowring Hospital.
“His condition is stable and he is out of danger,” Bharatinagar police said and refuted the charges of police atrocities. It is said that this is the second time he is doing this to mislead the police. His relatives alleged that the he consumed poison due to police atrocities.
