Punishment in schools...
Shainu Mohan

Shankar Rao, govt employee: Physical harrasment make children more aggressive and uncontrollable.  So children should not be punished physically.  They should love their school and feel happy with the teachers and the surrounding.   Now actually the teachers are forgetting  their ethics and taking rude measures to control the students. A teacher should have the abiity and patience to get into the shoes of a student.  So before stepping into the profession they should be given  enough training and motivation.

Sashikala, govt employee: Teachers doing such things is actually unforgivable.  In our days there was no such kind of punishment but now it is too much.  Punishment is not the only way to bring the student under control.  The teachers should take care not to hurt the students emotionally because it doesn’t help them to progress in their life as well as in their studies.  Students should get love and appreciation from their teachers and elders that is the only way to discipline them.

Deepthi, engineering student: The teachers should change their teaching tactics.  Beating   or making them stand on the bench will not bring any change in the students. This can only bring hate and grief in their heart. Students should not be punished because the more they get punishment the more rebellious  they become. The teachers should use good and tactful methods to discipline them.  Physical punishments will not help them to improve their studies or behaviour.

Sreenivas, security manager: A teacher should be a role model and very lovable to the student.
Such rude behaviour from a teacher cannot be tolerated.
A student should feel at home in school and if the teachers behave like this the students will start hating the school.  This can affect the student’s overall development.
Teachers should be given special training to handle the student without hurting them physically as well as emotionally.
