Beheaded body recovered
Police recovered the headless body of a computer Engineer nearly a year after his abduction from Hardshiva Sopore in north Kashmir last evening, UNI reports from Srinagar.
They said a highly decomposed unidentified body was recovered from a Nallah near Hardshiva Sopore. The body was later identified as that of a computer professional Nayeem Gul Dar, who had gone missing on September 7, 2006.
Police said the missing person had been brutally murdered by unidentified people.
Pranab visits Tirumala
Union External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee offered prayers on Sunday, UNI reports from Tirumala.

Popular Malayalam actor Naren, who shot into fame following his performance in the blockbuster Achuvinte Amma, entered into wedlock on Sunday, PTI reports from Kozhikode.
He tied the nuptial knot at a simple function held at the famous Tali Siva temple here. Naren married his long-time girl friend Manju.
Chandrababu Naidu’s son weds
Former AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Lokesh on Sunday tied the nuptial knot with Telugu film star N Balakrishna’s daughter Brahmani at a low-key ceremony here. Balakrishna, son of Telugu cinema legend and TDP founder president late N T Rama Rao, is a brother-in-law of Naidu.
