Meet not required, says DyCM
DH News Service, Mangalore:
Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has stated that there is no need for a Co-ordination Committee meeting between the coalition partners.

Speaking to reporters at Mangalore Airport on Sunday, he said there has not been any differences in the BJP-JD (S) Government, and hence the necessity of Co-ordination Committee meeting does not arise.
Regarding the reported strife between Tourism Minister B Sriramulu and a forest official, the deputy chief minister said a notice has been sent to Mr Sriramulu from the CM’s office seeking clarifications.
To another query regarding the grave condition of areca growers in the coastal region, he said a special package would be announced soon in this direction.
Commissionerate
“More number of projects will be implemented towards the development of the district. The proposal of setting up a Police Commissionerate in Mangalore is before the Government,” he said and added that a decision in this regard would be taken after having discussions with the chief minister and officials of the departments concerned. Later Mr Yediyurappa visited Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple in the evening.
CM surprised
Senior BJP leader and Minister for Water Resources K S Eshwarappa in Bangalore has expressed his surprise over the statement of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy at Bellary, regarding convening of the Coordination Committee meeting. When contacted over phone on Sunday, Mr Eshwarappa said, “I really do not know why the chief minister is making such statements.”
Mr Kumaraswamy had on Saturday, in Bellary said, “Why and for whose sake the Co-ordination Committee meeting should be convened.”
He said, at the Cabinet meeting, it was decided to convene the Co-ordination Committee meeting to thrash out the differences between the coalition partners.
“But suddenly why the chief minister changed his mind and issued this statement - is really surprising to me,” he added.

CMSPEAK
Mangalore, DHNS:  In contrast to the deputy chief minister’s statement, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has stated that the Co-ordination Committee meeting will be convened “whenever they get time.”
