Advocates should help the innocent to get justice and thus work as per the social obligations, said Karnataka State High Court Judge and Karnataka Law Services Authority president V Gopal Gowda.
He was speaking after inaugurating the third anniversary of Bangarpet court on Saturday. He called upon the young professionals to uphold the respect, dignity of their profession and respect the Court.
Mr Gopal Gowda emphasised to take up more scholarly studies and help the innocent. Knowledge regarding law and order is essential in the field, he stated.
He also said that it has become inevitable to establish more number of courts these days as the number of crimes are increasing day by day.
The Bangarpet court does not possess its own building which has to be sought through the Deputy Commissioner, he added. He also stressed the need to have libraries, parking facilities, rest room, auditorium and other facilities which are essential for courts.
A S Bopanna of Kolar district administration High Court Judge presided over the function. A V Chandrashekhar of District and Principal sessions Judge, Civil court Judge Hidahitulla Sharif, President of Bangarpet Advocates association Nanjundappa, Senior Advocate Saied Mehboob Havi and others were present.
