Dental Home launched
The department of Pedodontics and Preventive Children Dentistry of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in Deralakatte launched a ‘Dental home’ exclusively for children, the first of its kind in the country, on Monday.
According to a press release, Director of the Centre for Advanced Dental and Stomatognathic Studies Prof (Dr) N Sridhar Shetty inaugurated the programme which is an adaptation of the Dental Home concept prevalent in the United States.
The centre aims to provide comprehensive screening and treatment to children from infancy through anticipatory guidance in oral health care, which will later be extended.
