A felicitation function for the 21 students of the Siddialingeswara residential high school belonging to the Siddagana mutt who had scored top marks in the SSLC examination, was organised recently.
Siddaganga seer Dr Shivakumar Swamiji who blessed the students gave a call to be disciplined and work hard. The children should imbibe all these qualities during their formative years itself. They should also be focused in life and without this they can achieve nothing much in life, he added.
German industrialist and engineer Hennings who was the chief guest said the children in their learning years should learn a lot from life by working hard and achieving what they dream of. Lauding the efforts of the Swamiji, he said, tt is a real marvel in the world that the seer was looking after thousands of students giving them free education and boarding.
In order to have a bright future, the students along with studies should also develop a research bent of mind and this was very important in this present day competitive world, he said.
Vidyavahini Educational society secretary K B Jayanna said to learn English it was not necessary that one should study only in English medium.
Those students who have studied in the mutt have brought laurels to the mutt, Tumkur and the country by holding top posts in many parts of the world. This has been possible due to the direction given by the swamiji, he added. The seer felicitated many persons who have achieved in their chosen fields on the occasion.
