Free seminar on Project Planning & Management

Combined Package Programme
The Vishwa Bharati Institute has announced the launching of a Combined Package Programme for PUC (Science) students offering 50% concession in tuition fees for SC/ST/OBC students desirous of joining their intensive coaching classes for PUC I and II and CET 2009, as a part of their corporate social objective.

Interior design course
Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni college for women will be starting both basic and advance courses of six month duration each in interior design for housewives, students and working executives from September 10, 2007. The classes will be conducted both in the morning and afternoon. The course is handled by architects and includes, guest lectures, site visits and material seminar. National summit on quality education
The Confederation of Indian Industry - Institute of Quality is organising a two-day ‘National summit on quality education’ in Bangalore from September 28.  The theme for the summit is “Building Quality India: Role of Educational Institutions”. The summit theme addresses the need, role and importance of educational institutions in building ‘Quality India’. The summit speaks of the need of constructive and well-informed speculation of how a change in education can be better managed to serve the needs of students, educators, parents and society as a whole, coupled with a realistic appraisal of the state of education and reform efforts, and what present realities indicate for the future.
The summit can be attended by management committee members, principals, administrators and senior lecturers. The take away from the summit involves ideas, networks/contacts, resource persons, knowledge, different perspectives, etc.

BU invitation

Young Climate Savers Programme
To achieve goals for an India that is energy efficient and better adapted to climate change, WWF-India and Tetra Pak joined hands to launch the “Young Climate Savers” Programme – a series of workshops on climate change in schools across the country.
The objectives of these workshops are: To educate and motivate students across the country, to contribute in a meaningful manner towards reducing their contribution to global warming;
To inculcate leadership and motivation skills for promoting energy efficient lifestyles, eco-friendly attitudes.
WWF’s recent publication Climate Solutions: WWF’s Vision for 2050 identifies key solutions and pathways for reducing the level of GHGs in the atmosphere in a planned and phased manner to increase the probability of avoiding dangerous climate change.
WWF-India is a science-based conservation organisation engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country since 1969. Science quiz   
Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E) Pvt. Ltd is conducting India's largest science quiz for school students across the country. The event, 'Aqua Regia', is open to students of all streams from Standard VIII, IX and X, and will be conducted in over 25 cities across the country. The first city finals of the circuit will take place on September 1, 2007 at Dr Ambedkar Bhavan, Millers Road, Bangalore.
The objective is to encourage students to look beyond text-books and establish the connection between what they learn at school and the application of these concepts.
A school can nominate any number of teams of two members each.
All participating teams have to take part in a written preliminary round that is conducted at the school itself. The top teams from each school qualify for the City finals at each city. The winners from each city finals qualify for the Zonal Finals, and the winners of each zone qualify for the National Finals to be held in Hyderabad in November. All expenses for the travel of the teams and an accompanying adult to the Zonal and National finals will be borne by T.I.M.E.
While all the finalists will be awarded merit certificates and all students will be given participation certificates through their schools, the winners will also take home cash prizes and gifts worth Rs. 25,000.
