Police have found no clinching evidence against N S Bharath, region head, ING-Vysya Financial Services, to prove him guilty of causing sexual harassment to his subordinate, Shylaja Praveen.
“We have so far not found any evidence that can prove Shylaja’s allegations. We questioned Bharat and nothing significant emerged from it. There are only a few messages sent by Bharat and there are no vital evidences,” DCP (South) Alok Kumar said. Shylaja had hanged herself at her residence allegedly due to harassment by Bharath.
Fake certificate racket busted
CCB sleuths raided a house in Chamarajpet on Thursday and arrested four persons on charges of cheating public by selling fake certificates.
Fake certificates, 20 seals of taluk office, Rs 1,500 cash, four cell phones and one two-wheeler, all valued at Rs 70,000, have been recovered from them.
The accused have been identified as Narayan Kumar V (29), Govindraj (27), Prakash and Oblapathi (28). Two other accused Rajappa and Ravi are absconding.
On a tip off, the police raided ‘Annapurneshwari Nilaya’ at Chamarajpet and arrested the accused. They used to prepare fake caste and income certificates and affidavits and sell the same.
The accused told police that they indulged in such activity for the past seven years. A case has been registered with Chamarajpet police station.
