Music for a cause
What better way to bring together people for a cause than music? Christ Colleges Centre for Social Action (CSA) in association with Deccan Heralds Metrolife is organising Singeni - Music for a cause on September 1 to raise funds for the centres activities.

The concert will feature Bollywood singer KK who will enthrall the audience with his songs while MTV VJ Cyrus Broacha will host the event.
The college’s CSA is a voluntary social organisation built with a vision to implement holistic education to its students. Through CSA, the college aims at developing the values of social responsibility among students who impart the education they receive to underprivileged children.
Being a students social organisation, CSA works in 50 villages in four project areas catering to thousands of people from the marginalised section of the society. The work is carried out through women’s self-help groups, supplementary education programmes and nutrition programmes for children, marketable skill training, natural resource management programmes, among others.
The voluntary organisation has also established a supplementary education centre in Rajendranagar slum located at Koramangala in the City. Through this project volunteers cater to over 200 slum children.
The concert, to be held on September 1, will be at the college auditorium at 5:45 pm. Tickets are available at the the CSA office in Christ College, Singeni stall, Forum mall, Crosswords Bookstore (Brigade Road) and at the venue on the day of the programme. The proceeds from the concert will be utilised to fund CSA’s activities.
