It also rejected a plea against awarding ‘Best Social Impact’ film to ‘Badi’. Justice Ajit Gunjal  rejected both petitions filed by R Dhananjaya, the film producer. He challenged the award citing the jury had not followed procedures in selection for ‘Best Supporting Actress’, while the promoter of ‘Badi’ was a relative of Damodar Shetty, a selection committee member.
