The High Court has dismissed a writ petition challenging Bangalore Development Authority’s action in cancelling its earlier order of site allotment, while imposing Rs 10,000 on the petitioner. The petition by Arjun Baljee had challenged the validity of a 2005 order of BDA, cancelling the allotment of a 80x50 ft site, made in his favour during 2003-04.

BDA advocate B V Shankaranarayana Rao had stated that the petitioner in his application for allotment had left the date of birth column empty and after making the allotment it was found that he was only 22 years of age.
