Two persons committed suicide by jumping in front of running trains, while another was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a train coach on Thursday.
According to the railway police, a man, aged around 40 years, committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train at HMT School near Yelahanka railway station. The identity of the man and the reason for suicide is not known.
In a similar incident, a woman, aged around 30 years, committed suicide by jumping in in front of a running train at Byappanahalli railway station. The woman’s identity is not known.
A 60-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bangalore-Hubli Fast Passenger train on Thursday night. A sweeper who went inside the coach for cleaning found the body.
She alerted the railway police, who shifted the body to a mortuary. The identified of the deceased is not known.
House burgled
Jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen from a house in Sanjaynagar police station limits.According to the police, thieves broke open locks of the front door of the house in S V Layout in Sanjaynagar and made away with the jewellery kept in an almirah. House owner Arunachalam has lodged the complaint.
