Director Anubhav Sinha had an ugly clash with the producer over the title of the movie. Finally, Sinha got back his ‘Cash’. But those who watch it will surely lose theirs.
Cash is stylish, but the content is zilch. Imagine opening a chocolate box to find a bittergourd!
You have a dozen men and women who seem to have wandered out of an ‘extreme’ series of AXN channel. The women are out to prove that biceps have no gender while the men are busy jumping from choppers. And when they touch the ground — which happens to be Cape Town, South Africa — they get into snazzy cars and forget traffic rules.
Alright, adrenaline is arriving by the truckload. But that is justified as all of them are robbers and are on a diamond hunt.
Ajay Devgan is the leading conman and his partners are Zayed Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Dia Mirza and Esha Deol. Zayed is into jet-skiing and does all the crimes under water, while the others do their thing ashore.
The elusive diamond is, of course, worth crores and whenever the team is dull, Devgan uses his maths. He tells them there are six zeros in a crore, and all of them are at it again.
Shamita Shetty finds enough time to croon ‘Mind-blowing Mahia’ in between her crucial job as a security officer, which also demands some ‘petty’ acrobatics of her — like flying from a vrooming car and landing on a truck. The stunts are exceptional and the execution is chic. Wish Anubhav Sinha had bothered to include a script too. This Cash is not worth your cash.
