Elections to 43 more urban local bodies, including seven corporations, will be held on August 30. With this, 206 local bodies will go to polls on August 30 as the State Election Commission had announced election dates for 163 civic bodies, on Thursday.
State Election Commission, in a press release, on Friday, said that it had received the final notification of delimitation of 43 local bodies from the State government, on Friday afternoon.
Local bodies, for which elections were declared on Friday, include seven corporations, 16 city municipal councils, 17 town municipal councils and three town panchayats.
Corporations- Belgaum; Bellary; Mangalore; Hubli-Dharwad; Davangere; Gulbarga and Mysore.
City Municipal Councils - Jamakhandi; Gokak; Hospet; Bidar; Gadag-Betageri; Hassan; Kolar; Chickballapur; Koppal; Raichur; Sindhanur; Shimoga; Bhadravathi; Udupi; Karwar and Sirsi.
Town Municipal Councils - Sankeshwar; Kadur; Birur; Tarikere; Hiriyur; Puttur; Annigeri; Navalgund; Mundaragi; Ron; Sedam; Shorapur; Sakaleshpura; Holenarasipura; Belur; Maddur and KR Nagar.
Town Panchayats - Khanapur; Holalkere and Alur.
