As a controversy broke out over a helicopter landing on a highway, Railways Minister Lalu Prasad on Saturday said that he issued no directions to pilots to land his helicopter on the highway.
“I don’t know why they (pilots) landed, the decision was not in my hands,” he said, when asked about how the MI-17 helicopter had landed on the national highway near Manihari village. “They were air force personnel. I had nothing to do with it,” he said.
