A mother and her daughter died due to suffocation caused by LPG gas leak in Girinagar police limits on Sunday evening.

According to the police, Varamahalakshmi (26) and Manisha (7) were sleeping in their house when the mishap occurred. Varamahalakshmi had forgotten to switch off the gas cylinder properly.

Manisha died in the room due to suffocation when the gas leaking from the cylinder surrounded the room.
Though Varamahalakshmi managed to come out of the house, she breathed her last at a nearby hospital. Her husband, Guruprasad, a businessman, was away.
