Department of Health and Family Welfare will introduce an unique programme ‘Madilu’ on August 15 in Kodagu district.
According to the project, women from BPL family who deliver in government hospital will be given a kit worth Rs 825. However, the scheme is not applicable to those who have more than two children and deliver in private clinics.
The kit will have 19 items, which include separate mosquito nets for mother and child, bed sheets, jamkhana, four Mysore sandal soaps, soap for the child, washing soap, clothes, sanitary pad, comb, coconut oil, towel, bedsheet for child attached with rubber sheet, rubber sheet, diapers for child, sweater, socks for the child and a transparent bag.
