It is very important for women to have awareness of law, said JMFC Senior civil judge K B Geetha.
She was speaking after inaugurating the law awareness programme for women held at the Ambedkar Bhavan by Law Service Committee Advocates Association. There are laws for the protection of women which they have to make use for their benefits, she added.
JMFC junior judge N Krishnaiah delivered key note address. Senior advocates P B Satyanarayan, R Sarvesh, Mohammad Rahmat Ulla gave a special lecture.
CDPO Satyanarayan presided over the function. Advocates association president Malimariappa, deputy tahsildar Parashuramaiah, S R Raghavendra Babu and others were present. Women from stree shakti groups and anganwadi’s participated.
