SIA planes hit each other
Two Singapore Airlines planes hit each other’s wings while preparing for take-off at the city-state’s Changi Airport but no one was injured, the carrier said in a statement reports AFP from Singapore.
“It is reported that the wingtips of two aircraft came into contact while both aircraft were taxiing at low speed,” company spokesman Stephen Forshaw said.
Queen’s role in Philip’s regency
Queen Elizabeth II has intervened to ensure that her sister Princess Margaret would not rule as regent in the event of her death and wished that the law should be changed so that her husband Prince Philip would be given the regency and promoted to field marshal, PTI reports from London.
According to de-classified government documents released here on Sunday after 50 years Philip,would have regarded it as an “affront” if Sir Winston Churchill’s government did not agree to the change.
35 trapped workers rescued
Thirty-five workers out of the 52 trapped in a flooded railway tunnel under construction in central China’s Huber Province have been rescued, latest official reports said. Efforts are on to rescue the 17 workers trapped in the middle.
