KTA overall champions

Karnataka Taekwando Academy with 56 points claimed the overall championship in the 25th State Senior taekwondo championships which concluded here on Sunday.

KTA, who logged 43 points with having won six gold medals, emerged men’s champions while Dharwad Centre, who finished overall runners-up with 45 points, clinched the women’s title with three gold that fetched them 31 points.

Results (all finals):

Men: Fin: Dinesh Naik (Dharwad) bt Davinder Singh (SAI-B’lore) 12-9; Bronze: Ravi Kumar D and Sunil S (both Hi-tech Centre). Fly: Honnesh R (Nagapura) bt Basavaraj R Jamnal (Dharwad) 12-3; Bronze: Arun Kumar SS (Harihara) and Manjunath R (VIFA Cantre). Bantam: Rajnukantha A (Karnataka Taekwando Academy) bt Pradeep
