A dirty bomb ticking  
Some hospitals, in Vijayanagar, Peenya and Srirampuram dump their BMW along with the municipal waste, a criminal offence under the Environment Protection Act, the punishment for which is five years imprisonment and a fine of Rs one lakh.
FOETICIDE  
Raising the issue of dumping of aborted foetuses in a garbage bin in Bangalore, during zero hour, Mr G V Sriramareddy (CPI-M) said that the incident reflected that the female foeticide was rampant in the State and had gone unchecked by the state machinery.
Man with a gun held  
Airport police arrested a man on charges of possessing a pistol and recovered the same and 12 live cartridges. He has been identified as Avinash Kumar (24), a resident of Bhoopasandra.
APMC traders set to intensify agitation  
Banvarilal Kanchal, MP and president of Bharatiya Vyapara Mandal, said the Mandal would intensify its protest across the country.
