Revenue Inspector C R Shivakumar, Kasaba hobli, Tumkur taluk, has been suspended from service according to a release from the office of Regional Commissioner Gowri Trivedi.
He has been suspended pending inquiry with regard to allegations of illegal transfer of khata and pahani.
The Regional Commissioner has also instructed the deputy commissioner to take action against several village accountants who have joined hands in illegal transfers of khatas.
A statement from the office of Commissioner says it is confirmed that the Revenue Inspector has accepted mutation and transferred khata and pahani and hence he is kept on suspension from service, pending inquiry.
