Money Orders Suspended In City
Bangalore, Aug 6
Booking of money orders, registered value payable and insured letters and parents has been suspended from today at all Post offices in the city as a temporary measure to meet the situation created by the threatened strike by the Post and Telegraph employees on August 8.
A Post and Telegraph spokesman said today that arrangements for meeting the situation were proceeding apace and sufficient number of temporary recruits and volunteers were already undergoing training.
US Yields To Allies’ Demands
Washington, Aug 6
The US has yielded to demands from Britain and other allies for a further relaxation of Western restrictions on trade with China it was disclosed. Types of machine tools, chemical and metal products are freed under the move.

PLO To Evacuate West Beirut
Beirut, Aug. 6.
Lebanese Prime Minister Shalik Wazzan today announced that the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) had agreed to evacuate West Beirut and Lebianon within 15 days.
“The PLO is completely rest-on-save now. We should begin arrangements to bring the Palestinian departure about quickly,” he told the Associated Press.
