The much-delayed legislation to provide social security to workers in the unorganised sector might take some more time as the Group of Ministers (GoM) is still looking into various aspects of the proposed measures.
Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes said on Monday that the GoM has held one round of meeting and another round was on the cards.
However, he assured that the bill would be introduced in the Monsoon session of the Parliament. He added that the issue of working conditions, including that of minimum wages and ensuring equal wages for women and men, would be taken up later, after the revision is approved.
