Google Inc and Bharti Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services (B&TS) on Monday announced that they were joining hands to bring a gamut of web-based services for customers of the latter’s Broadband services. The tie-up is part of Google’s prime goal of building “great partnerships”, Google India managing director Shailesh Rao said after exchanging the partnership agreement documents with B&TS president Atul Bindal here.
The agreement will see Airtel come up with a portal that will include Google’s customised strong points like search engine, Gmail, Google Talk and Google Docs & Spreadsheets.
Airtel Broadband customers will also get access to a suite of advanced utility and communication applications like NetXpert to manage and trouble-shoot Internet connections, Desktop & Internet Security Services and Web SMS.
