Heavy rains which continued to lash Kodagu district has disrupted normal life even on Tuesday.
The schools have been declared holiday even on Wednesday.
The intensity of rainfall was more in South Kodagu and North Kodagu.
Shanthali, Shanivarasanthe, Kodlipete in North Kodagu, Kutta, Srimangala, Birunani and Ponnampete received heavy rainfall.
The flood situation in Bhagmandala remained the same. Many houses have been inundated at Karadigodu, Holekere Paisari, Kodugadde owing to the rise in water-level in river Cauvery.
Owing to the rise in water-level in river Lakshmanatheertha, the vehicular movement between Balele-Nittur has been disrupted.
The vehicular movement is cut off in Hoddur, Bolibane near Murnad.
Loss
Heavy rains have incurred loss of Rs 49.2 crore in Kodagu so far. Talacauvery has received highest rainfall of 255.6 mm followed by Bhagamandala 230.4 mm.
The inflow of Harangi reservoir in 8,536 cusecs and 7,352 cusecs water has been released from the reservoir.
