Several instances of houses damaging and inundated fields damaging the crops have been reported owing to the heavy rains that lashed over Udupi district in the last 24 hours.
All the rivers in the district are overflowing and few incidents of floods have been reported.
While the quantity of rain in Udupi is reducing, rains have not stopped in the Ghat and the sources informed that there are all possibilities of the rivers reaching the danger level.
Kundapur taluk received highest rainfall of about 128 mm, Karkala received 90 mm and Udupi received 61 mm.
Damage
Meanwhile, the house of Lacchi Poojarthi at Nayampalli near Kallianpura collapsed on Tuesday while four houses at Havanje, Padutonse, Moodu Tonse were damaged partially.
