Space and Rocket dynamics course
The Department of Physics, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Bangalore-560027, in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is conducting a Certificate course in Space and Rocket dynamics.
Topics covered during the course are:Elements of Astronomy and Astrophysics; Rocket dynamics; Solar Physics; Cosmology; Astrobiology
This is an inter-collegiate course of 120 hours duration conducted during week-ends. This course will be open to BSc students with Physics as one of the major subjects. Selection will be based on an entrance test.
Students successfully completing the course requirements will receive a certificate issued jointly by St Joseph’s College and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

International engineering course
The International centre of Applied Sciences a body, which is a part of Manipal Education, announced admissions for academic year 2007- 08. Now one can get an international Engineering degree wherein the student has the flexibility to do the first 2 years in India and the final 2 years at any of the listed Universities abroad.

BU’s PG courses
Bangalore University has invited applications for admission to Post-Graduate courses offered at Jnana Bharathi Campus, Central College Campus, PG Centre at Kolar and in affiliated colleges for the academic year 2007-08.
Eligible candidates seeking admission to post-graduate courses can obtain application form and prospectus at the branches of State Bank of Mysore listed below, on payment of Rs. 300 for General Merit/ Payment other category candidates and Rs. 150 for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates.
Outstation candidates can obtain application forms through post by sending a self-addressed envelope of A4 size
(affixing a stamp of Rs. 50) along with a DD for the requisite amount as mentioned above, drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore to Registrar, Bangalore University, Jnana Bharathi Campus, Bangalore-560056.

IBMB’s part time programmes
The Institute of Biosciences and Molecular Biology (I.B.M.B.) offers various part-time programmes aimed to familiarise and expose undergraduate and post-graduate Life science, and B.Tech Biotechnology students to the modern concepts and techniques in Recombinant DNA Technology, Industrial and Microbial Technology, Gene Cloning Techniques and Immunotechnology.
