Traffic disrupted
The road connectivity between Balele-Nittoor has been cut off after Lakshmanateertha river flooded. This is for the fifth time this year that the same road is being cut off. Even earlier, the people in the nearby region had faced lot of problems as in a year the road remained closed for over 27 days. Since this bridge road is a significant one for the nearby areas, the local residents have urged the government to take note of the situation and take up upgradation works of the connectivity road.
The overflowing of Lakshmanatheertha river too has resulted in the damage of paddy cultivations largely and in certain areas, compelling the farmers to re-plant the saplings.
