MLA T H Shivashankarappa offered bagina and performed ganga pooja to river Bhadra at Lakkavalli in Tarikere.
Speaking after offering the bagina, he said that 10 houses have been partially damaged at Sompura owing to the release of water from the river. It has been planned to evacuate the residents of the village to Gundenahalli. Four acres of land has been identified for the purpose. A proposal has been sent to the Government in this regard. A temporary ganji kendra has been opened at Gundenahalli government primary school for the villagers of Sompura.  MLA informed that government has released funds for the rejuvenation of 28 ponds in Tarikere taluk. The work will commence will soon.  Lakkavalli Gram Panchayat President Ravi Kumar, Vice-President Jayamma, ZP Member Chandramma Manjunath were present.
