The Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation is organising an exhibition of handicrafts and handlooms at Hemachandra Kalyana Mantapa, II Block, Near Ashok Pillar, Jayanagar from Augsut 9 to 19 from 10 am to 9 pm.
As many as 75 artisans of various crafts and weavers representing different types of handlooms will exhibit and sell their products directly to the customers.
Handicrafts on display include Kondapally toys, Etikoppa dolls, leather puppets, lamp shades, crochet lace, leatherware , Tanjavoor paintings, cotton dhurries, Hyderabad pearls, artificial jewellery, metal castings, jute bags and rosewood carvings.
Handlooms on display include Mangalagiri, Pochampally, Venkatagiri, Gadwal, Siddipet, Narayanpet, Chirala, Batik printing, Kashmiri silk, Benaras, Chanderi, Maheswari, applique work and bedsheets.
