Hantuchova for Kolkata WTA meet
Bangalore, DH News Service:

Besides Indian sensation Sania Mirza, Slovakian beauty and World No 10 Daniela Hantuchova and Wimbledon runner-up and World No 11 Marion Bartoli, are the big names in fray in the third edition of the $175,000 Sunfeast Open WTA tournament to be held in Kolkata from September 17-23.

Also in the list is Russian Maria Kirilenko, who has slipped to No 35 in the ranking. Five-time Grand Slam winner Martina Hingis won the singles title last year.

The seven-day Tier III event is managed by Globosport.

The qualifiers will be played on September 15-16 with the four top making it to the main draw. Mahesh Bhupathi, the Globosport chief, said the four wild cards were yet to be decided. “All the wild cards will go to Indian players,” he said.
