CRICKET: India will be looking for their first series win in 21 years in Old Blighty when they take on England in the final Test at The Oval  from Thursday.

GOLF: Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa tee off at the year’s last major, the PGA Championship, in Oklahoma on Thursday.

FOOTBALL: Fresh from their victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield, Manchester United begin their English Premier League title defence with a host of new signings. The League begins on Saturday while Man U open their campaign at home against Reading on Sunday.

BADMINTON: The World Championships begin in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

TENNIS: East West Bank Classic WTA tournament and the Montreal ATP Masters conclude on Sunday.
Cincinnati Masters begins in Cincinnati on Monday. The WTA Toronto Cup commences on the same day.

NATIONAL
BOWLING: 19th Tenpin Nationals come to a close on Sunday at the Star City Bowling Centre in Bangalore. 
   
LOCAL / STATE
CRICKET: All-India invitation cup reaches its crescendo with the final slated for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Boost Cup continues at various venues.

FOOTBALL: Super Division League concludes at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Saturday
HOCKEY: State ‘C’ Division tournament makes steady progress at the KSHA stadium.

G S Randhawa Memorial inter-school tournament continues at the KSHA stadium.

ATHLETICS: The three-day inter-school athletic meet begins on Thursday at the Sree Kanteerava stadium.
