Jija Madhavan Hari Singh, Director General of Police and Director of Civil Defence and Fire and Emergency Services, gave away prizes and certificates to the students, teachers and schools, who contributed significantly to raise funds for National Association for the Blind (NAB), Bangalore.

Ranapratap of Mahila Seva Samaj High School received the first prize in the student section for collecting Rs 23,000 for NAB. Shishugriha Montesseri High School received the first prize for schools for collecting Rs 2 lakh.

NAB organises functions every year to recognise peoples’ efforts in raising funds. The function was organised at NAB Rehabilitation complex. The fund collected by schools and students is spent for training of the visually challenged people.
