Billava community members should come forward in education field, said Former MLA K G Bopaiah.
Speaking after inaugurating Koti Chennaiah sports meet at Man’s Compound in Madikeri, he said the community members should achieve success in sports, education sector. The talents should be recognised in these fields.”
Mr Bopaiah said former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa had earmerked Rs 2 crore for the indepth study of life of Koti Chennaiah brothers.
Former MLA Prabhkar Bangera said Billava community members are backward in education.
ZP President Deerghakeshi Shivanna said the lives of Koti Chennaiah is a model for all of us. Billava Samaja Seva Sangha President Ellyanna Poojary presided. Taluk Panchayat President Napanda Kalappa also spoke.
