Hebbale Grama devathe Banashankaridevi annual fare was held on Sunday with great pomp and gaiety. Thousands of people from far and wide places participated in the fare.

Shree Basaveshwara Temple was decorated as a part of the fare by the temple committee. From this decorated temple Goddess was brought in a procession to the pious ‘bana’ nearby. At the bana the devotees fulfiled their vows by walking on a pit of burning charcoal.

The cracker show put up at various places during the procession was a lavish spectacle. Model Youth Association will organise a buffalo cart race on December 10 at 9 am.

A rural sports competition was held at Government Primary School maidan. At 6 pm the Jathre valedictory programme will be held as a part of which cultural programmes will be organised. Prizes to the winners of various competitions will be distributed.
