Akhila Bharath Ayyappa Seva Sangha will organise ‘Ayyappa Lakshadeepothsava’ at Kadri Temple premises on December 10 and 11 to mark Shree Vikrama Guruswamy’s 41st year and 108th visit to Sabarimala.
Addressing a news conference, Akhila Bharath Ayyappa Seva Sangha Kadri President Madhava Suvarna said that the Lakshadeepothsava will be held at 6 am with a ‘ganahoma puja’ and at 7 am Derebail Vittaldas Thanthri will formally give a start to the Utsav by lighting lamps.
Bhajan programmes, ‘Ayyappa Sahasranamarchane,’ ‘Chendevadana,’ ‘Mahapuja’ will be followed.
At 5 pm, a procession will be held from Kadri Kambla Krishna Math passing through City Hospital, Malikatte, Kadri main entrance and culminate at Kadri Temple premises.
The highlights of this procession will be the physical stunts by members of Shree Durgaparameshwari Vyayama Shale and ‘Kunita Bhajane’ by Shree Vijaya Vittal Bhajana Mandali Jokatte.
Cultural programmes will be held at 6 pm in Kadri temple premises, which includes saxophone concert by M Gaurishankar and group and ‘Dasa keerthana’ by Karnataka Rajyothsava Awardee troupe Geetha Vihara from Kasargod. At 8.30 pm ‘Guruvandana’ programme will be held in which Kadri Manjunatha Temple Managing trustee A J Shetty, former minister B Nagaraj Shetty, former MLA N Yogish Bhat and others will take part.
On Tuesday ‘Kenada seve’ will be held.
