Water colour paintings

Water colour paintings by freelance water colorist Sadhu Aliyur will be exhibited at the Karnataka Chithrakala Paraishath Art Gallery on Kumarakripa Road from Decemebr 8 to 16.

Aliyur, is a freelance water colorist who has won the ‘Kottarathil Shankunny Smaraka Samithy’ State award in water colour and has several solo and group shows to his credit.

He uses the paper white itself as sparkling “eye lights” instead of using white pigments. His works comprise captivating and breathtaking creations of nature.

According to K K Marar, artist and critic water colours we know is one of the toughest and most challenging mediums in painting.

Its abundant skill to retain or restore the transparency of the colours in each painting. And only an artist who’s gifted and experienced can preserve the purity of these colours. His thoughts, feelings, convictions and many moods seem to come with each minimal stroke.
