Having been adequately recognised in their own country, India’s youngest Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) graduate, Shailendra Verma and India’s youngest matriculate, Sushma Verma, are on their way to Tokyo to be telecast in one of Japan’s TV show, later this month.
Japan’s Tokyo Broadcasting Systems (TBC) has also decided to make a documentary on the two fascinating Verma siblings and sent a team to Lucknow to commence shooting. The documentary will be aired on the channel ahead of their interview by a famous Japanese magician.
At 14, Shailendra has become the youngest BCA graduate, while his sister Sushma, aged 7, has become the youngest matriculate in the country by securing 58 per cent in the class X Board exam, missing a first division by just six marks.
The youngest matriculate record was held so far by Patna’s Tathagat Avatar Tulsi, who accomplished the feat when he was nine, according to the Limca Book of Records.
Their father, Tej Bahadur Verma, says he is the happiest man in the world. A labourer in Rae Bareli, Mr Verma shifted to Lucknow so that his daughter could receive a wider exposure. He was later given a job in her school.
