Seer hails services of govt Group D employees
Mangalore, dhns:

“Offering poojas in the temples is not the only way to serve God, but doing one’s duty with sincerity and devotion is the greatest service to God, said Pejawar Mutt seer Vishweshateertha Swamiji.

Speaking at the felicitation function organised as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the DK district ‘D’ group Government Employees’ Association here, he said ‘D’ means ‘daksha’ or vigilant and not ‘deena’ or helplessness. No job must be considered high or low, but those who are sincere in doing their work are blessed by God. The ‘D’ group workers form the foundation of the society, he added.

MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik said  public who visit government officers, first talk to ‘D’ group workers and they in turn help the public in solving their problems. Hence, their work is significant and they need not suffer inferiority complex.

Mr Karnik assured that when a new government is formed, he will make efforts to fill the vacant posts of ‘D’ group workers. Vishwanath Jogi of Information Department, along with 50 other ‘D’ group workers were felicitated on the occasion for rendering commendable service as government employees.  Earlier, the Sarvajanika Satyanarayana pooja muhurtha and suvarna mahotsava was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner.
